Elite Hotels Welcome Bear Grylls Survival Training

Elite Hotels invite delegates to try an altogether different form of team building with a new series of survival-based experiences from the Bear Grylls Survival academy.

Elite Hotels invite delegates to try an altogether different form of team building with a new series of survival-based experiences from the Bear Grylls Survival academy.
Available now at Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa, and Warren Weir in Bedfordshire, Tylney Hall Hotel & Gardens, Hampshire, and Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club, East Sussex, the first group of brave delegates are set to take to the wilderness at Warren Weir this November.

The challenges have been inspired by Grylls’ popular television series including Born Survivor and Man Vs Wild.

Participants are encouraged to enter an environment where they could naturally adopt survival instincts with the guidance of highly-skilled and trained experts. Participants are able to try their hand at a number of activities including knot tying, navigation, fire lighting, wilderness food preparation and shelter building.

Speaking about the new survival experiences, Grylls said: "Everything I have learnt about business was first learnt from the wild – trust, risk management, going that extra mile, dynamic teamwork and honest communication. There is nothing like trying to light a fire or cross a river to force you to re-engage some left brain initiative and right brain calm in the storm.
"The events are fun, exciting and memorable. I also want to empower people to learn some core skills that not only might save their lives, but will undoubtedly help teams gel, their resourcefulness increase and their pride swell."

David Petitt, Group Marketing Manager, Elite Hotels added: "We are very excited to announce our new partnership with the Bear Grylls Survival Academy. These events take team building to a new level, they will test and challenge every delegate taking part.  For companies looking to put their delegates through their paces, or establish new relationships within an existing team, there really is nothing better, or more effective”
