On Friday 28th November 2016, Luton Hoo’s Executive Housekeeper Jane Steel was named Housekeeper of the Year at the prestigious hotel industry awards, the Hotel Cateys! Commenting on winning the award, Jane Steel said “It’s an absolute honour to receive the award for Housekeeper of the Year at the Hotel Cateys. I am extremely fortunate to have gained a wealth of experience over the past 40 years, however I truly believe my success at Luton Hoo Hotel has come from having such a dedicated, diverse and supportive team. It is a privilege to be recognised not only by my colleagues at Luton Hoo but also by my industry peers.”

The Best Loved Hotels Awards are organised by Best Loved Hotels and are an annual celebration of the very best hotels across the UK and Ireland. On 16th November 2016, Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa won the ‘Tie the Knot’ award for Best Wedding Hotel. Speaking after collecting the award, General Manager Matthew Long said “It is a fantastic honour to win this award; it just goes to show the incredible work the wedding team put in on a day-to-day basis. Congratulations are in order for the whole team and we can’t wait to welcome lots of new couples in 2017."

We are pleased to announce that Luton Hoo have received the 'Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence' for three years running, 2014, 2015 and 2016! This covers not only the hotel but also our Wernher Restaurant, Adam's Brasserie and Afternoon Tea selection. The awards are based on the reviews and opinions of more than 60 million travellers posted on the world's largest travel website, including ratings for specific categories. Only ten percent of accommodations listed on TripAdvisor receive this prestigious award for maintaining an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travellers on TripAdvisor.
Landscape Institute Award 2011
The company that headed the restoration Capability Brown landscape at Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa received this prestigious national award. Canterbury-based landscape architects and ecologists Lloyd Bore Ltd. worked in conjunction with Luton Hoo's Head gardener Keith Hersey and his team on the painstaking long-term project to reinstate the 1,065 acre estate's magnificent parkland and gardens to their former glory. Director Julian Lloyd Bore said "We were delighted to receive the accolade and it has been a privilege working in such a vast and beautiful landscape and this award is further recognition of the international importance of the estate."

The Conde Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence are made annually to properties worldwide that represent the finest standards and best value for money in luxury and independent accommodation. Readers of the Conde Nast guides, hotel guests and the Conde Nast Johansens inspection team all contributed towards the votes for the 2011 award. Elite Hotels - which owns Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa was named as the first ever recipient of the AA Eco Hotel Group of the Year award. The prestigious award recognises the group's environmental initiatives and commitment to sustainability, energy saving and setting recycling targets. AA Hotel Services group area manager Giovanna Grossi said: "Elite Hotels was selected as AA Eco Hotel Group of the Year because this quality group adopts a caring approach to the environment and to reducing the carbon footprint, without compromising the excellent standard and quality they offer their guests. Apart from their policies on sustainability, recycling and carbon reduction, they also have a commitment to preserving the nation's heritage at the significant historical sites that house all of their beautiful hotels".
